Second terror attack within an hour in south Kashmir

Srinagar, May 18 (KNO): A former sarpanch was shot dead by terrorists in Herpora area of Shopian district on Saturday day, police said. This is the second terror attack in south Kashmir within an hour. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Sheikh, a former sarpanch, was fired upon by terrorists Herpora area today evening. He said that soon after the attack he was shifted to a nearby healthcare facility, where he succumbed to injuries. Hospital authorities confirmed to KNO that Sheikh was brought dead to hospital. Police and security forces have cordoned off the area to nab the attackers. Earlier, terrorists fired upon and injured a couple from Rajasthan’s Jaipur in Anantnag district—(KNO)
